Day 15 on accutane...

So today is Day 15 on my Accutane journey. So far so good! My lips are drying like crazy, chapstick is on my all the time. My face is also drying out around my mouth and on my nose. I have also noticed some lower back pain, which I have never had before. But other than that, nothing new to report as far as symptoms go.
As far a pimples go......I'm mainly getting them around my mouth and jaw. I actually only have 6 pimples on my face. W-o-w!

day 8 I think.....

My face is seeing some drastic changes. I have had maybe 2 or 3 pimples since a few days ago. Before I started Accutane I would get new pimples almost every day. My skin is getting more dry, but nothing unbearable. My lips are the only part that is getting terribly dry. I'm having to apply chap-stick a lot through out the day. But that is the price you pay when you want beautiful skin!

Day 5....

Really there is not a whole lot to report. It's day 5, my lips are dry. My face is barely dry and I've gotten a few new pimples. Nothing super big and cystic. I really need to learn NOT to pop them....habit.

Day 2....not much change

Well I have taken 2 Accutane pills so far. Not much change to report. I have noticed that my lips are more dry than normal and so is my skin. I have been using Biore Ice Face Wash to wash my face in the morning and at night, followed by Cetaphil lotion for the dryness. I might have to switch face washes if it causes more dryness, but that's an easy fix. Im also using Burts Bees chapstick on my lips which I'm hoping will subside the dryness. Last round of Accutane I used Aquaphor on my lips, so I might have to try that again this time. I have also noticed a few new smaller pimples, nothing huge and cystic-like on my face. I'm hoping my IB will not be horrible. My first round of Accutane, I did not have a bad IB, so maybe this time will be the same!

Day 1 thoughts...

So today is my offical Day 1 of Accutane round 2.
I took Accutane about 4 years ago when I was 14 and had amazing results. I had minimal dryness and chapped lips. I did experience dry hair...but a girl with curly oily doesn't complain! I'm hoping to journal daily or at least a few times a week. I took my first pill with dinner a few minutes ago. Here's to hoping!
